On Sunday, June 7, 2020, at 3:08 AM, deputies from the Hemet Station responded to a call of a female suffering from a gunshot wound at a residence in the 56000 Block of Mitchell Rd, in the unincorporated area of Anza.    

Upon arrival, the deputies located a female deceased at the location, she was identified as Cherie Mae Lanzisera, 58 years old of Anza. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. In the course of the investigation, a suspect was identified and arrested. Trent Allen Lightfoot, 50 years old, resident of Anza, was arrested for murder.
