During the month of June 2020, deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station, County Problem Oriented Policing Team, conducted an investigation regarding the illegal sales of fireworks occurring within the city of Lake Elsinore .

On June 17, 2020, at the direction of Sheriff Chad Bianco, deputies conducted an undercover operation within the city of Lake Elsinore.  The Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station, County Problem Oriented Policing Team established electronic communication with Danish Saleem (33 years old) who was attempting to sell illegal fireworks. Danish requested to meet within the city of Lake Elsinore to do the exchange of fireworks. Danish Saleem arrived to the location and was detained with numerous illegal fireworks including; Cherry Bombs, Saturn Battery’s, Jumbo Parachutes, and 5” XL Canister Shells. 

Danish Saleem was transported and booked into Robert Presley Detention Center for the possession of illegal fireworks for sales.

  1. Arial Fireworks are so dangerous and we citizens need to speak out and identify the criminals that sell, purchase and fire them for the sake of our safety our homes and our pets.
