California is a horrible state to live in,I lived there for 56 years and left for Tennessee 7 years ago and never looked back and I can’t even go to visit that filthy state anymore and that’s where I was born and raised but it has changed miserably in the last 15 years and is very expensive, highest taxes in the nation, highest homelessness population, litter and gangs everywhere,DMV costs is four times that of Tennessee it is also ran by a liberal lunatic in Gavin Newscum who cares less about anything except implementing terrible laws and raising taxes on everyone and everything with the exception of the mountains and Lake Tahoe and a few other places is totally not worth living there

I've been a resudent of California for over 41 years. The statement that this state is working-class friendly is the POV of most medical employees, e.g. doctors, nurses, PTs. Etc. Come to think of it, because of the continuous demand for those in the medical field.

The grass is always greener everywhere else as long ad it's not on one's home ground.

So that statement proffered by the one interviewed is his personal assessment... not a statement of fact.

This is what I tell friends who move to Republican right to work states. Employees are more like indentured servants. Almost everyone I knew who moved to the south southeast, came back in a year

It is surely a more worker friendly state,,,until there are no more places to work. Companies are leaving California due to some of these huge costs ($16/hour for someone to do minimum work for minimum wage).
When and if these nurses have children they will be upset when their child goes looking for an entry level job 15 years from now to be able to learn responsibility etc. Suddenly there will be no jobs available for them any longer. Businesses did not automate in the past because it was too expensive for small business to do that---IN THE PAST!! Now, at $16/hour, 24 hours a day ,365 days a year = $140,160/ year with no vacation, breaks, insurance, sick days, workmens comp, attitude etc a $100,000 piece of equipment seems like a bargain and it will prbably last more than one year for the $100,000.

In addition to the fear of elimination the middle class, we need to worry about the entry level joib market disappearing also.
