St. Jude Mission School students learn about snakes

After staff at the St. Jude Mission School on the Soboba Indian Reservation noticed an influx of snakes during the recent warm weather, a lesson on snakes was arranged. Science teacher Jay Dagostino from the nearby Noli Indian School was invited, along with his two pet snakes, to give a presentation on safety and awareness.

OPHELIA LIVES! was written by Gillette Elvgren and deals honestly and openly with issues that affect todayā€™s teens, such as suicide, depression, self-esteem, substance abuse, cutting, etc.

Soboba Tribal Preschool welcomes young students back to school

Teachers at the Soboba Tribal Preschool began learning about the youngsters in their classrooms when the new school year began on Aug. 3. But they seized the opportunity to learn even more when family members were invited to a back-to-school night on Aug. 25. Visitors toured the campus, listened to presentations about what to expect on a daily and weekly basis, checked out a Chromebook for their childā€™s use and were treated to pizza and snacks.
