<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On Tuesday, January 4th, at approximately 7:19 pm, deputies from <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/744/Palm-Desert-Station">the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station</a> responded to the 72-300 block of Highway 111, Palm Desert, regarding a grand theft from a retail location. A broadcast of the suspect vehicle was provided and the suspect vehicle was located in the 72-800 block of Highway 111. As deputies approached the vehicle, one of the suspects exited and fled on foot. Deputies were able to apprehend the suspect and take him into custody. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Three additional suspects were located in the vehicle and taken into custody. The vehicle used in the commission of this crime was towed to the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station and a search warrant was authored and served on Wednesday, January 5th. All of the stolen property removed from the retail location has been recovered. Sarah Cantu, 32 of Desert Hot Springs, Devon Montoya, 26 of Indio, Phillipe Gonzalez, 35 of Indio, and Jose Perez, 39 of Indio were arrested for commercial burglary and conspiracy. All of the suspects were booked into the John Benoit Detention Center, in the city of Indio.</p>
