On Friday, August 23rd, the Historic Hemet Theatre hosted country rock band, YOUNG GUNS with a tribute to the superstars of country music. The group played music from every era of country music from Charlie Daniels’ “Devil Went Down to Georgia” thtough the years of Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks, Florida Georgia Line and more.

Lead Singer Eric Sage did a masterful job of pulling the crowd to their feet, filling the dance floor with two-stepping, boot-scootin’ fans across the generations. The fiddle playing of Melissa Barrison stunned the crowd as she worked her way down to the dance floor, spinning in circles while playing at a dizzying pace.

The Friday night crowd was lighter than HHT fans have come to expect, but the enthusiasm was loud all night, with band members and fans alike screaming for an encore. For a close-up look at the action, check out the photos and videos on the Facebook page of the Historic Hemet Theatre

The concert was the latest in the “Friday Nite Live” concert series that focuses on country music tributes. The series continues next month with tributes to Brooks & Dunn (9/20), Roy Orbison (10/4), Reba McEntire (11/8) and Keith Urban (12/13).

Meanwhile, Season Three of the Tribute Mania Concert Series continues with tributes to The Beach Boys (9/14), The Eagles (9/28), The Beatles (10/12), Buddy Holly & the Legends of Rock & Roll (10/26), Huey Lewis & the News (11/2), The Blues Brothers (11/23), and Styx (12/7).

The group tours the world playing music from Florida Georgia Line, Charlie Daniels Band, Rascal Flatts, Garth Brooks, Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, Big & Rich, Dierks Bently, George Strait, Blake Shelton, Johnny Cash, and many more. Also included are some of the top country-rock songs from bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Eagles, 38 Special, and ZZ Top. They will even include “country fry” rock anthems from bands like Kid Rock, AC/DC, Guns’ n’ Roses, and Bon Jovi.

YOUNG GUNS electrifies the stage with top-notch musicians, captivating stage presence, and video screens with cutting edge, and nostalgic footage to enhance the experience. The show features an award-winning entertainer, recording artist and lead singer, Eric Sage.
