<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On June 10, 2022, at 3:32 P.M., patrol deputies assigned to the city of Coachella and the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT), responded to a shooting which occurred in the 50-900 block of Chiapas Drive in the city of Coachella. Investigation revealed the suspect shot multiple times at the victim who was standing in his front yard. The victim was not injured during the shooting. CCAT assumed the investigation which led them to the suspects residence located in the 50-600 block of Chiapas Drive.&nbsp;</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">With the assistance of <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/">the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department </a>Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team, CCAT Served a search warrant at the suspects residence. The suspect, Ramiro Reyes, a 20-year-old resident of Coachella, was taken into custody without incident. A search of the residence was conducted, and a short barreled sawed-off shotgun was located and seized. Reyes was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center, in the city of Indio, for attempt homicide and possession of a short barreled shotgun.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On Friday, December 10, 2021 at approximately 1:31 AM, Region 3 Gang Task Force Officers were in the 1800 Block of South San Jacinto Street, City of San Jacinto, when they recognized a subject with a felony warrant exiting from a vehicle. The subject, Anthony Aresfleming, who had several active felony warrants, was taken into custody without incident. During a subsequent search of the vehicle Anthony was seen exiting from, a loaded Colt .22 Cal revolver and 40 blue “M30” suspected fentanyl contaminated pills were located. Anthony was arrested for weapons/drug related charges, and his felony warrants which included a no bail PRCS warrant. He was later transported to the <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/183/Corrections-Operations">Riverside County Jail.</a></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Hemet/San Jacinto Valley Gang Task Force has been in existence since April 2006. The Law Enforcement Agencies within “The Valley” have been working together since this time on a daily basis. The Hemet/San Jacinto Gang Task Force is comprised of members from the <a href="https://www.hemetca.gov/97/Police">Hemet Police Department</a>, Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, and the California Highway Patrol. The Hemet/San Jacinto Valley Gang Task Force operates in the Cities of Hemet, San Jacinto, and the unincorporated areas of Hemet. The law enforcement leadership within the valley meets regularly and coordinates the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley Gang Task Force activities. Since the formation of the task force, leadership has recognized the importance of working together to provide the highest level of service for the citizens within the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Hemet/San Jacinto Valley Gang Task Force is one of five teams comprising the entire Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force, which is a collaborative effort of various law enforcement agencies with the goal of combating criminal street gangs.</p>
