Task Force Officers contacted the driver, Ivan Torres. An inventory search of the vehicle was conducted and a 9mm Handgun, with an altered serial number was found. Torres is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing a firearm. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Hemet/San Jacinto Valley Gang Task Force has been in existence since April 2006. The Law Enforcement Agencies within “The Valley” have been working together since this time on a daily basis.  The Hemet/San Jacinto Gang Task Force is comprised of members from <a href="http://www.hemetpolice.org/">the Hemet Police Department,</a> Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, and the California Highway Patrol. The Hemet/San Jacinto Valley Gang Task Force operates in the Cities of Hemet, San Jacinto, and the unincorporated areas of Hemet. The law enforcement leadership within the valley meets regularly and coordinates the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley Gang Task Force activities. Since the formation of the task force, leadership has recognized the importance of working together to provide the highest level of service for the citizens within the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley.</p>

Also located in the vehicle, were suspected narcotics. Deboe is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing a firearm. Deboe was arrested on multiple weapons and narcotics related charges and later transported to Riverside County Jail.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On Wednesday September 8, 2021 at approximately 9:50 PM, Region 3 Gang Task Force Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the 300 Block of South State Street, in the <a href="https://www.hemetca.gov/">City of Hemet</a>, County of Riverside. Task Force Officers contacted the driver, Gilbert McGlothen, who was found to driving on a suspended driver’s license. McGlothen was asked to step out of the vehicle and as he did, Task Force Officers removed a loaded handgun from his pocket. Also located on McGlothen’s person was suspected Narcotics. McGlothen has several previous felony convictions, including a conviction for manslaughter and is prohibited from possessing a firearm. A record check of the firearm revealed that is was previously reported stolen. McGlothen was taken into custody for multiple weapons violations, narcotics charges and possession of stolen property.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Barrera-Villa was taken into custody and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for multiple weapons and controlled substances violations.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On September 11, 2021, at 6:11 PM, while conducting proactive patrol, <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/745/Moreno-Valley-Station">the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station</a> Special Enforcement Team/Gang Unit conducted an occupied vehicle check at Deerfern Avenue and Deer Park Drive in Moreno Valley. During the check deputies recognized a male juvenile as a documented criminal street gang member, on probation, and with a current felony warrant for his arrest.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">During the contact, deputies located a second juvenile with a felony warrant for his arrest. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and an unregistered firearm was located. The firearm was found to have been modified into a fully automatic handgun.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The juveniles were taken into custody for their felony warrants and booked into juvenile hall. The firearm was recovered, and the investigation is ongoing.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On Saturday, September 26, 2020, at 2:15 P.M., the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force (CVVCGTF) conducted a search warrant service at a residence in the 19000 block of Paintbrush Trail in the unincorporated area of <a href="https://www.cityofdhs.org/">Desert Hot Springs</a>.  During the search warrant Gang Task Force Officers located an illegally manufactured AR-15 Rifle with no serial numbers.  Also located was ammunition and suspected cocaine.  Gang Task Force Officers arrested convicted felon and documented criminal street gang member Raymond Cantu, 21 of Desert Hot Springs for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Felon in Possession of Ammunition, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of a Firearm with Narcotics, Violation of Parole, and an Outstanding Felony Arrest Warrant for Possession of a Firearm with Narcotics.  Cantu’s arrest warrant stemmed from a previous arrest by Gang Task Force Officers on June 1st, 2020 in the city of Palm Desert on El Paseo and Portola Avenue when Cantu was found to be in possession of narcotics, a handgun and a bullet proof vest.  Cantu was booked at <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/677/Larry-D-Smith-Correctional-Facility">Larry Smith Correctional Facility in Banning</a>. </p>
