<p class="wp-block-paragraph">LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Do you have old or unused paint thinners, televisions, antifreeze, cleaners, expired medications or pesticides sitting around your home?</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This weekend in Lake Elsinore, you can dispose of them for free thanks to the Riverside County of Waste Resources.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., residents can take advantage of a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event at 512 North Langstaff St.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-here-s-what-will-be-accepted">Here&#8217;s what will be accepted:</h3>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Paint Products</strong>: Paint, stain, varnish, adhesive, paint thinner, resin, epoxy, caulking and wood preservatives.</li>



<li><strong>Automotive Products</strong>: Used oil, oil filters, antifreeze, gasoline, diesel, automotive chemicals, brake fluid and transmission fluid.</li>



<li><strong>Universal Wastes</strong>: Batteries, fluorescent tubes &amp; bulbs, light ballasts, smoke detectors and mercury thermostats.</li>



<li><strong>Electronic Waste</strong>: Televisions, monitors, computers and electronic devices.</li>



<li><strong>Lawn/Garden Products</strong>: Pesticides, herbicides, poisons, fertilizers, mothballs, garden chemicals, flea powder, BBQ propane tanks and kerosene lamp oil.</li>



<li><strong>Household Products</strong>: Cleaners, degreasers, aerosol cans, drain openers, disinfectants, pool chemicals, air fresheners, lighter fluid, nail polish, hair bleach and cooking oil.</li>



<li><strong>Health Care Products</strong>: Needles, sharps and unused medication (except controlled substances).</li>
</ul>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-here-s-what-will-not-be-accepted">Here&#8217;s what will NOT be accepted:</h3>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Ammunition and explosives</li>



<li>Appliances, tires or trash</li>



<li>Asbestos</li>



<li>Containers larger than 5 gallons or 50 pounds</li>



<li>Remediation or radioactive waste (except smoke detectors)</li>



<li>Compressed gas cylinders greater than 40 pounds</li>



<li>Controlled substances and infectious waste (except sharps)</li>



<li>Out-of-County or business-generated waste (including but not limited to real estate and non-profit)</li>
