<p class="wp-block-paragraph">LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A 34-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing baby formula from a retail store in Lake Elsinore, authorities said.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The alleged theft was reported Feb. 13 at a store in the 18200 block of Collier Avenue. An employee told the Riverside County Sheriff&#8217;s Department via an online report that a female suspect was inside the store selecting various cans of baby formula and concealing them inside a tote bag.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">&#8220;As the female exited the store, she assaulted the employee by pushing him aside and exited the store without paying for the items,&#8221; the sheriff&#8217;s department said.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Deputies identified the suspect as Zurikka Herron of Lake Elsinore. They detained Herron after conducting a traffic stop Tuesday, and she was later booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on suspicion of robbery.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Herron was released Wednesday on $30,000 bail.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Anyone with information regarding the alleged theft was asked to contact Deputy Noel at the sheriff&#8217;s Lake Elsinore station at 951-245-3300.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On Sunday, December 19, 2021, at 12:01 pm, <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/616/Thermal-Station">Thermal Station</a> deputies responded to a report of a strong-arm robbery at the Truck Stops of America (TA Truck Stop) in the 46000 block of Dillon Road, Coachella. The victim reported she saw a male stealing her laptop bag from the trunk of her vehicle. The victim chased the suspect to a nearby white Lincoln sedan. After a physical confrontation occurred the suspect drove away with the victim’s laptop.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">With the assistance of a CHP helicopter, the suspect vehicle was located under a tarp in a citrus field near the 40000 block of Dillon Rd. The suspect was located at a nearby camp. After arresting the suspect deputies searched the area and located where the suspect buried the victim’s property. Jesus Perales, 41 of Indio Hills, was arrested for 211 PC- Robbery and booked into custody at <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/708/John-J-Benoit-Detention-Center">the John Benoit Detention Center</a>, in Indio, on $30,000 bail. The victim was treated and released at the scene for minor injuries and her recovered property was returned to her.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On September 18, 2020, at 5:05 PM, <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/745/Moreno-Valley-Station">Moreno Valley Station</a> deputies were dispatched to the 13000 block of Courage St. in the city of Moreno Valley regarding a robbery.  The victim stated a male adult put a handgun to his head and forcefully removed property from his person and vehicle.  After the victim complied with the suspect, the suspect fired two shots at the victim and his vehicle and fled the area in a light green BMW.  Deputies canvassed the area but did not locate the suspect or suspect vehicle.  </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Members of the Moreno Valley Station Robbery Burglary Suppression Team (RBST) immediately began working the case and collecting items of evidentiary value.  Through the assistance of the public and the Moreno Valley Citywide Camera System, the suspect was identified as Roberto Zamora (20) from the city of Moreno Valley.  On September 22, 2020, RBST members located Zamora and arrested him without incident.  The weapon used during the commission of the crime, as well as, items belonging to the victim were located in Zamora’s possession.  </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Zamora was later booked at the <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/678/Robert-Presley-Detention-Center">Robert Presley Detention Center</a>.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Moreno Valley Station Investigator Joshua Patterson at 951-486-6700.</p>
