Details:

On December 06, 2023, about 9:00 p.m., a home invasion robbery occurred in the 10800 block of Rosemary Way, Temescal Valley, resulting in a victim sustaining injuries. Lake Mathews Sheriff’s Station Investigators discovered a potential burglary crew was responsible for not only the home invasion robbery but also other residential burglaries in the Temescal Valley area.

On December 08, 2023, Lake Mathews deputies responded to the 11200 block of Jasmine Way, Temescal Valley, about another possible residential burglary. Once on scene, a suspect vehicle was identified and pursued to Lake Elsinore. As a result of the traffic stop, 20-year-old Jermaine Barnes Jr., a resident of Hemet, 19-year-old Larry Settles, a resident of Los Angeles, and 22-year-old Tionzae Mcgee-Beavers, a resident of Lake Elsinore, were detained.

A search of their vehicle and subsequent search warrants at their homes led to evidence and stolen property being recovered, tying these individuals to the home invasion robbery and residential burglaries. All three suspects were booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center Barnes and Mcgee-Beavers for two counts of first-degree robbery and burglary charges. Settles was booked in for burglary. This is an ongoing investigation. No further details are available at this time.

Upon arrival, deputies learned the suspect approached an employee inside the location and stole an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect fled from the store to an awaiting white 4-door Volkswagen, which was occupied by another subject.

On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, about 5:52 p.m., deputies assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to the 16600 block of Lakeshore Drive for a report of a robbery. Numerous witnesses reported a suspect assaulted and attempted to steal a wallet from a citizen who was conducting business at an automated teller machine (ATM). The Lake Elsinore Station’s Robbery Burglary Suppression Team (RBST) and Special Enforcement Team (SET) responded to assist in the investigation. Using the information provided, deputies were able to identify the suspect as Henry Jackson, a 56-year-old resident of Lake Elsinore. RBST and SET deputies contacted Jackson at his residence where they observed the vehicle Jackson used to flee the scene. Jackson was taken into custody and a search warrant was authored for his vehicles and residence. Clothing items worn by Jackson during the incident were seized as evidence.

The circumstances and suspect description provided by witnesses of this incident resembled a recent robbery at the same ATM about one week prior. Through further investigation into both incidents, deputies determined Jackson was the primary suspect in both robberies.

Henry Jackson was transported and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on two counts of robbery.

File # MA232650042

Details:

On Friday, September 22, 2023, at 5:52 p.m., deputies from the Lake Mathews Sheriff Station responded to the 17000 block of Van Buren Boulevard in the unincorporated area of Woodcrest regarding a robbery. The female juvenile victim stated three black male adults entered the store, selected numerous items, and began concealing them. As the female juvenile attempted to approach the suspects, one turned toward her and struck her, causing her to fall. The suspects fled the store and were seen entering a newer silver sedan waiting in the parking lot. As they fled the area, multiple witnesses stated the driver sped away at a high rate of speed, nearly striking several vehicles.

Due to the suspect’s erratic driving, he lost control of the vehicle and collided with a street sign and fence at the intersection of Van Buren Boulevard and Ranch Road. All suspects fled from the vehicle before deputies arrived. A perimeter was quickly established, and with assistance from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Aviation Unit and Riverside County Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau K9 team, two suspects, 18-year-old Quin Taylor and 20-year-old Isaac Peevy, both residents of Moreno Valley, were quickly apprehended. During the investigation, the driver, who was positively identified as Deshawn Mency, a 20-year-old resident of Eastvale, later turned himself in at the Jurupa Valley Station. All three suspects were arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for robbery. A fourth suspect, Mahki Smith, a 19-year-old resident of Moreno Valley, is still outstanding. Deputies are currently working to locate and apprehend Smith.

This investigation is ongoing, and no additional details are available at this time. Anyone with information on this case is encouraged to call Deputy Denton at the Lake Mathews Station by calling 951-272-5600
