<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On August 28, 2023, deputies from <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/745/Moreno-Valley-Station">the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station</a> responded to a report of a theft that occurred from a business in the 14500 block of Innovation Drive in Riverside. The victim reported several thousand dollars in tools and equipment were stolen along with vehicles belonging to the business. The Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Special Enforcement Team immediately began assisting in the investigation and began following-up on leads and surveillance video. During the investigation, a suspect was identified as Ingo Carrillo Gonzalez, a 43-year-old resident of Long Beach.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On October 11, 2023, deputies from the Moreno Valley Station’s Special Enforcement Team served a search warrant at Gonzalez’ residence, located in the 100 block of 31st Street, Long Beach. During a search of the residence, over fifteen thousand dollars’ worth of stolen property was recovered and later returned to the business. Two stolen tractors were also recovered and returned to their rightful owner. It was learned Gonzalez was arrested by the Alhambra Police Department on October 10, 2023, and currently remains in custody in Los Angeles County. Additional follow-up will be conducted, and charges will be filed with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office related to the crimes Gonzalez committed while in Riverside County.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 7:30 a.m., <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/608/Colorado-River-Station">Colorado River Station</a> deputies and the Special Enforcement Team, with assistance from the Investigations Bureau, served a search warrant at a property located in the 600 block of N. 5th Street, in the city of Blythe. This search warrant resulted from information developed during an investigation of a residential burglary in the North River area, an unincorporated area of Blythe. During the search warrant service, deputies recovered several stolen items from the burglary, as well as additional stolen items from other open cases in the Blythe area.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Deputies arrested Craig Roberts, a 62-year-old resident of Blythe, without incident. Roberts was booked into the Blythe Jail for the following charges: burglary, vehicle theft, possession of stolen property, and possession of burglary tools.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On Monday, July 24, 2023, at about 6:25 PM, deputies from <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/616/Thermal-Station">the Thermal Sheriff’s Station</a> responded to a storage facility in the 46600 block of Adams Street in the city of La Quinta regarding a storage unit that had been burglarized resulting in approximately $50,000 in stolen property. During the investigation, a suspect vehicle was identified.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On Thursday, August 10, 2023, members of the La Quinta Special Enforcement Team located the suspect vehicle at a residence in the 44800 block of King Street in the city of Indio. The La Quinta Special Enforcement Team, with the assistance of the Thermal Station Special Investigations Unit and the Southern Coachella Valley Community Services District Team, served a property-related search warrant at the residence. During the service of the search warrant, approximately $40,000 in property belonging to the victim was located and recovered. Additionally, a firearm and methamphetamine were located inside a separate room in the residence.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">David Wilson, a 66-year-old resident of Indio, was found to be in possession of stolen property and charges will be filed out of custody. Omar Rivera, a 44-year-old resident of Indio, was found to be a felon in possession of a firearm and methamphetamine. He was not located at the residence and charges will be filed out of custody.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On August 8, 2023, at 8:52 a.m., deputies from <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/608/Colorado-River-Station">the Colorado River Station</a> responded to the 1400 block of State Route 95, in the North Colorado River area of Blythe, reference a residential burglary and the theft of a GMC truck.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Deputies later located the stolen truck at Intake Boulevard and Agate Terrace Street. Deputies attempted to stop the truck, but the suspect, later identified as Johny Caballero, a 29-year-old from Blythe, fled from deputies leading them on a pursuit through south Blythe. Caballero stopped on a dirt road and fled on foot from deputies. Deputies, with assistance from Blythe Police Department, surrounded Caballero, who surrendered without incident.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Caballero was booked into the Blythe Jail for possession of stolen property and evading.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On Monday, March 20, at 8:22 AM, <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/606/Cabazon-Station">Cabazon Station</a> deputies responded to the windmill farm located south of the I-10 Freeway and east of Elm Street in the unincorporated area of Cabazon. Deputies learned the victim tracked their stolen wire to the 9200 block of Allegra in Desert Hot Springs. The copper wire was stolen from the windmills in the area sometime over the past two days. Deputies arrived at the address provided in Desert Hot Springs and observed multiple pieces of cut wire in front of the residence. Deputies contacted Nicholas Dumas, a 38-year-old male from Desert Hot Springs, at the residence. During the investigation, deputies learned Dumas received the wire from an individual and was paid to expose the copper wire for recycling. The victim identified and recovered approximately 900 feet of their stolen cable. Dumas was later booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility for possession of the stolen property.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">This investigation is ongoing, and if anyone has information regarding the theft of copper wire from this area, they are encouraged to contact Deputy Paumier of the Cabazon Station at (951) 922–7100.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On Thursday, March 16, 2023, the La Quinta Special Enforcement Team (SET) served a property related search warrant at the 26000 block of Bruce Street, in Highland. The search warrant stemmed from multiple grand theft incidents that were reported on March 01,2023. The incidents occurred at two businesses located at the 78000 and 79000 block of Highway 111, in La Quinta. The businesses had also reported similar thefts at their other locations out of the area. Arrested was Huy Nhat Pham, 32 of Highland, for grand theft, possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia . Approximately $3,200 worth of stolen merchandise was recovered. Pham was booked at the John J. Benoit Detention Center.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 7:30 AM, Colorado River Station (CRS) Deputies served a search warrant in the 9600 block of N. Broadway., Blythe. The search warrant was obtained after developing information that there were stolen off-highway vehicles (OHV’s) at the location. Upon arrival, Deputies witnessed Ryan Roeschen (37 years old of Blythe) throw a large plastic bag over the fence into an adjacent residence. Upon examination of the tossed bag, deputies discovered it contained 288 grams of Psilocybin (mushrooms). During the search of the property, three stolen OHV’s (quads) in various stages of disassembly were recovered. The stolen property was later returned to the rightful owners. Roeschen was booked at the Riverside County Jail in Blythe for operating a chop shop, possession of stolen property, and drug sales.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">In November 2021, deputies from <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/745/Moreno-Valley-Station">the Moreno Valley Station</a> responded to a report of a vehicle burglary that occurred in the 14500 block of Innovation Drive in Riverside. During that burglary, multiple laptops were stolen from a vehicle. Moreno Valley Station’s Robbery Burglary Suppression Team (RBST) assumed the months long investigation.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On October 6, 2022, RBST, with the assistance of the Moreno Valley Station’s Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Team, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 17300 block of Jupiter Avenue in Victorville. During service of the warrant, three of the stolen laptops were recovered, as well as an illegal firearm.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The suspect in possession of the laptops was identified as Amado Morales, a 27-year-old resident of Victorville. While at that residence, Miguel Morales, a 25-year-old resident of Victorville, was found to be in possession of an illegal firearm. Amado was transported and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for possession of the stolen property. Miguel was arrested and later released pending a filing with the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office for weapons violations.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On April 18, 2022, deputies responded to a business located in the 1100 Block of 6 Street, Norco, regarding a grand theft investigation. During the investigation, it was determined the suspect entered the property of the closed business, and stole numerous items used in agricultural and animal husbandry. Since the initial theft investigation, additional grand thefts were reported from the additional business in the 1200 Block of 6th Street, Norco.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The Norco Special Enforcement Team (SET) assumed the investigation and identified the suspect as Juan Ayala Flores, a 36-year-old resident of Anaheim. On May 10, 2022, Norco SET deputies located and detained Flores in the city of Norco. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A search warrant was served at a residence in the 4100 block of Hillside Avenue, Norco. During the service of the search warrant, over $6,500.00 worth of stolen property related to the thefts was located. Deputies also recovered numerous tools and construction items that are believed to be stolen. Flores was arrested and booked into <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/678/Robert-Presley-Detention-Center">the Robert Presley Detention Center</a> for grand theft and possession of stolen property.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On Thursday, May 6, 2021, <a href="https://www.laquintapolice.org/Special-Enforcement-Team">La Quinta Special Enforcement Team</a> deputies conducted a follow-up investigation that stemmed from a grand theft of a utility vehicle; the theft occurred on December 21, 2020 at the 81000 block of Avenue 62, in La Quinta.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Juan Roberto Gutierrez Galvan, 34 of Coachella, was identified as a suspect involved and was located at the 45000 block of Vista del Norte, in Coachella. Galvan was arrested for possession of stolen property, possession of over a half ounce of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. Galvan was also found in possession of numerous limited-edition sports cards memorabilia and several thousand dollars’ worth of power and hand tools. Galvan was booked at the John J. Benoit Detention Center.</p>
