Update:

Deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a vehicle in the area of Lake Park Drive and Ramona Expressway. Mark Anthony McKay was located inside the vehicle and immediately identified himself was a wanted felon. Mark Anthony McKay was arrested for his felony warrants and will be booked into a Riverside County Jail.

Details:

Deputies responded to the area of Conrad Place and Hemmingway Place to search for Mark Anthony McKay, a 34-year-old male, 6’ 3’’ tall and weighing 200 pounds. McKay has several warrants for his arrest, including outstanding warrants from Arkansas and Texas. He is also wanted for violating the terms of his parole.

Deputies saw McKay driving a white 2012 Ford Fusion sedan with Arkansas tags. During the search, McKay got away but deputies saw him again near the area of 7 Street and Santa Fe avenue. Deputies attempted to stop McKay in the white Ford Fusion, but he drove into the neighborhood in the 480 Block of Jonnie Way and abandoned his car on the driveway of a vacant house. Deputies surrounded the house and contained the perimeter around it.

The neighbors who lived nearby were evacuated for their safety while members of the Sheriff’s Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team and Crisis Negotiators attempted to coax McKay out peacefully. After conducting a thorough search of the house and surrounding property McKay was not found. McKay is still wanted for his outstanding warrants. Anyone with information about McKay’s whereabouts are encouraged to call the Riverside County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center at 1-800-776-1099.
