<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On October 21, 2022, at 7:00 A.M., members of the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT), with the assistance of the Southern Coachella Valley Community Service District Team (SCVCSDT), served a search warrant at a residence located in the 84–700 block of Avenue 51 in the city of Coachella. The search warrant stemmed from a weapons investigation CCAT was conducting. During the search warrant, CCAT members located a loaded .40 caliber handgun and a Billy club. Arrested was a male juvenile documented criminal street gang member, who was found sleeping on top of the handgun. The male juvenile was booked at the Indio Juvenile Hall for possession of a Billy club, juvenile in possession of a firearm, juvenile in possession of ammunition, possession of an unregistered firearm, and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On December 23, 2021, at 7:00 A.M., the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT), with the assistance of the Southern Coachella Valley Community Service District Team, served a search warrant at a residence located in the 91-700 block of Avenue 66 in the unincorporated community of Mecca.  The search warrant stemmed from a weapons investigation CCAT was conducting.  During the search of the residence, a non-serialized California non-compliant rifle, a non-serialized handgun, extended magazines, and ammunition, were located and seized.   </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A 17-year-old male was arrested for minor in possession of ammunition, minor in possession of a firearm, and possession of an unregistered firearm.  The minor was booked at the Indio Juvenile Hall.  Also arrested was <strong>Alonso Espinoza</strong>, a 24-year-old resident of Mecca, for possession of a non-serialized California non-compliant rifle, possession of an unregistered firearm, and committing a felony while out on bail.  Espinoza was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On June 23, 2021 at approximately 3:30 p.m., members of the Murrieta-Temecula Regional Gang Task Force conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at Los Alamos Road / I-215 Freeway in the City of Murrieta. A subsequent search of the driver’s vehicle revealed a loaded 9mm handgun and 50 rounds of ammunition. </p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The driver Tyree Morrow, a 22-year old resident of Menifee was arrested and booked into <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/674/Cois-M-Byrd-Detention-Center">Cois Byrd Detention Center.</a></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On January 19, 2021, at 7:00 A.M., deputies assigned to the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT), with the assistance of the La Quinta Special Enforcement Team (SET) and the Southern Coachella Valley Community Service District Team (SCVCSDT), served a search warrant at a residence in the 84-500 block of Calle Gregorio in the city of Coachella. The search warrant stemmed from a weapons investigation CCAT was conducting. During the search warrant service, a rifle along with multiple loaded magazines were located and seized. Documented gang member and convicted felon Rey Delgado, 30 of Coachella, was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. Delgado was booked at the <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/708/John-J-Benoit-Detention-Center">John Benoit Detention Center</a> in the city of Indio.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at 7:00 A.M. deputies assigned to the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT) with the assistance of <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/">Riverside County Sheriff’</a>s Department SWAT served a search warrant at a residence in the 85500 block of Stacie Lane in the city of Coachella.  During the service of the search warrant, deputies located and seized five AR-15 rifles, two handguns, numerous boxes of ammunition, suspected cocaine, and narcotic sales indicia. Deputies arrested Mark Guzman Morin, 31 year old of Coachella, for Possession of an Assault Rifle, Possession of a Short Barreled Rife, Possession of a loaded firearm while in possession of narcotics, Possession of an unregistered firearm, and Possession of cocaine for sale. Morin was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center in the city of Indio.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On November 22nd, 2020, at 1:05 A.M., deputies assigned to the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT) conducted a traffic stop at Vine Avenue cross of 2nd Street in the city of Coachella.  Contacted was Eduardo Chan, 27 of Coachella, who was found to be on probation.  A probation compliance check of Chan’s residence was conducted in the 1400 block of 2nd Street.  During the compliance check, a rifle, a non-serialized handgun, and brass knuckles were located and seized.  Chan was charge for being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of unregistered firearms, possession of an assault rifle, possession of brass knuckles, and violation of probation.  Chan was booked at the <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/708/John-J-Benoit-Detention-Center">John Benoit Detention Center</a> in the city of Indio.</p>
