<p class="wp-block-paragraph">On November 1, 2022, at 3:30 PM, members of the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT) were actively patrolling the city of Coachella when they conducted a traffic enforcement stop on Cesar Chavez Street and Avenue 50. During the traffic enforcement stop, CCAT deputies located three firearms and extended magazines inside the vehicle after a search. One of the firearms had an illegal modification, which made it fully automatic and one of the firearms was a non-serialized handgun.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Arrested and booked at <a href="https://www.riversidesheriff.org/708/John-J-Benoit-Detention-Center">the John Benoit Detention Center</a>, were documented criminal street gang members Rafael Gudino Casillas, an 18-year-old resident of Coachella, Julian Martinez, an 18-year-old resident of Coachella, and Juan Hernandez, an 18-year-old resident of Coachella, for possession of a non-serialized firearm, possession of a loaded firearm, possession of a loaded firearm and not the registered owner, and possession of high-capacity magazines. Also arrested was a male juvenile documented criminal street gang member for possession of a non-serialized firearm, possession of a loaded firearm, possession of a loaded firearm and not the registered owner, juvenile in possession of a firearm, juvenile in possession of ammunition, possession of high-capacity magazines, and possession of a California non-compliant firearm. The male juvenile was booked at Juvenile Hall in the city of Indio.</p>
