As crews continue to make progress encircling the 23,500-acre Airport Fire burning in Orange and Riverside counties, those impacted by the blaze and who may need assistance with food and health care support, as well as other needs, were invited to visit a one-stop resource that will open Thursday in Lake Elsinore.
During a late Tuesday afternoon news conference in Orange County, fire officials confirmed the Airport Fire had jumped to the south side of Ortega Highway in Riverside County near the area of the notorious Decker Fire that killed six firefighters more than six decades ago.
