California prisons restart visitations 1 year into pandemic

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California state prisons will soon resume limited in-person visits with inmates more than a year after they were halted because of the coronavirus pandemic, officials said Tuesday.

Search Warrant / Assault with a Firearm Arrest

On March 23, 2021, at 7:00 A.M., deputies assigned to the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT), with the assistance of the Southern Coachella Valley Community Service District Team (SCVCSDT), served a search warrant at a multiple residence’s in the cities of Indio and Palm Desert. The search warrant stemmed from an assault with a firearm investigation. Andrew Flores, 24 of Indio, was arrested for assault with a firearm and shooting at an occupied vehicle. Flores was booked at the John Benoit Detention Center in the city of Indio.
