Biden impact? Decision day in tight Virginia governor’s race

The nation's most closely watched off-year election wrapped up Tuesday in Virginia, where voters chose between Democrat Terry McAuliffe and Republican Glenn Youngkin in a campaign that became partly a referendum on President Joe Biden's first year in office.

Attempt Warrant Service of Wanted Person

Deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a vehicle in the area of Lake Park Drive and Ramona Expressway.  Mark Anthony McKay was located inside the vehicle and immediately identified himself was a wanted felon.  Mark Anthony McKay was arrested for his felony warrants and will be booked into a Riverside County Jail.

Infant Death Investigation

Investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department Central Homicide Unit have been working toward developing leads on the death and disposal of the infant in this case. Evidence obtained through this investigation identified the parents of the infant. The investigation is ongoing, and the specifics of the case cannot be released at this time.

A federal judge has thrown out California's new 30-foot buffer zone designed to restrict protests at coronavirus vaccination sites, though his ruling left in place other parts of a new state law despite arguments that it infringes on free speech.

CMS Takes Decisive Steps to Reduce Health Care Disparities Among Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease and End-Stage Renal Disease

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is taking action to close health equity gaps by providing Medicare patients living with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) with greater access to care. Through the ESRD Prospective Payment System (PPS) annual rulemaking, CMS is making changes to the ESRD Quality Incentive Program (QIP) and the ESRD Treatment Choices (ETC) Model, and updating ESRD PPS payment rates.
