On Monday, November 1, 2021, Perris Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to a shooting that occurred in the parking lot of a business located in the 4000 block of N. Perris Blvd, in the city of Perris. Deputies arrived on-scene and located two victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

On Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 9:59 PM, Region 3 Gang Task Force Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the 3500 Block of West Florida Avenue, in the City of Hemet, on a BMW coupe for vehicle code violations. Task Force Officers spoke with the driver, Richard Jimenez, who indicated he had a warrant.

Vicente Fernández, an iconic and beloved singer of regional Mexican music who was awarded three Grammys and nine Latin Grammys and inspired a new generation of performers, including his son Alejandro Fernández, died on Sunday. He was 81.
