The 2021 Grammy Awards will no longer take place this month in Los Angeles and will broadcast in March due to a recent surge in coronavirus cases and deaths.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced today it has administered initial COVID-19 vaccine doses to more than 14,000 Veterans at high risk of getting COVID-19 infection, and more than 132,000 health care employees as of Jan. 4.

On Thursday, December 31, 2020, at 4:59 PM, Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force Officers conducted a traffic enforcement stop at Ramsey Street and Sunset Avenue in the city of Banning. During the traffic stop it was discovered the driver, Jason Hammer a 42-year-old resident of the city of Banning, was in possession of drug paraphernalia.

On January 5th, 2021, at 7:00 A.M., deputies assigned to the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT), with the assistance of the Coachella Valley Narcotic Task Force (CVNTF), served a search warrant at a residence in the 85200 block of Avenue 55 in the unincorporated area of Thermal. The search warrant stemmed from a robbery at gunpoint incident which occurred on December 27th, 2020 in the 53500 block of Cesar Chavez in the city of Coachella.

Only about 1% of California's 40 million residents have been vaccinated against the coronavirus, setting a pace of immunization that's “not good enough," Gov. Gavin Newsom said Monday.
