Deputy and Officer-Involved Shooting

On Wednesday, March 2, 2022, about 4:09 P.M., deputies and officers from the Riverside County Gang Task Force were searching for a known suspect in the city of Hemet, with three felony warrants for carjacking, robbery, drugs, and weapons charges.

Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Grants

On Thursday, March 3, 2022, at 1:00 PM, the Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force (RCAHT) with the assistance of the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force (Region 1) served a search warrant at the 78-000 block of Varner Rd, Palm Desert regarding a sex trafficking investigation.

Juvenile Fentanyl Death

On December 2, 2021, about 3:30 AM, Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Deputies were dispatched to a call of a 2-month-old juvenile not breathing in the 17000 block of Crown Creek Cir., Riverside. Upon deputies' arrival, it was determined the 2-month-old female juvenile was deceased. Through extensive investigation by investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Overdose Death Investigations and Narcotics Unit (O.D.I.N.) and the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station, it was determined the 2-month-old juvenile was a victim of Fentanyl poisoning.
