Fatal Traffic Collision

On May 9, 2022, about 12:40 AM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Moreno Valley Station, responded to Pigeon Pass Road, south of Hemlock Avenue regarding the report of a deceased subject lying on the ground. Deputies arrived at the location and found the unknown male adult lying just west of the roadway, unresponsive without a pulse. The subject was declared deceased at the scene with obvious traumatic injuries consistent with a traffic collision.

The Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team responded to assume the investigation, which remains ongoing. At this time, the cause of the collision remains under investigation and the identity of the involved parties will not be released pending next of kin notification.

The traffic collision investigation required the temporary closure of Pigeon Pass Road, between Hemlock Avenue and Sunnymead Boulevard, in order to process the scene and collect additional evidence.
