Details:

On October 1, 2023, at 3:42 a.m., deputies assigned to the Riverside Sheriff’s Lake Elsinore Station responded to a major injury traffic collision on 3rd Street and Diana Lane in the city of Lake Elsinore. Deputies and Cal Fire personnel arrived and located a single-vehicle collision with the driver trapped inside. Cal Fire personnel extricated the driver and provided medical aid; however, the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Lake Elsinore Station’s Traffic unit assumed the investigation. The driver’s name is being withheld pending next of kin notification. The investigation is ongoing, and no further details are available at this time.
