Fatal Hit-and-Run Traffic Collision

On Monday, December 4, 2023, at 5:57 PM, deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a major injury hit-and-run traffic collision at the intersection of Old 215 Frontage Road and Bay Avenue in the city of Moreno Valley. Paramedics from Cal Fire also arrived on the scene and attempted live-saving measures, but ultimately pronounced an involved party deceased.

The Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team responded to the location of the collision and assumed the investigation.  The preliminary investigation revealed a male pedestrian was walking southbound on Old 215 Frontage Road when a vehicle traveling northbound struck him, causing fatal injuries. After the collision, the vehicle fled the scene without stopping.

The Old 215 Frontage Road from Alessandro Boulevard to Bay Avenue was closed during this investigation. At this time, a suspect has not been identified.
