On January 1, 2024, around 3:23 a.m., deputies assigned to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, Lake Elsinore Station, located an overturned vehicle off the side of Lakeshore Drive, south of Manning Street, in the city of Lake Elsinore. Deputies and Cal Fire found the driver trapped inside the vehicle. Cal Fire performed lifesaving measures and ultimately pronounced the driver deceased at the scene. The Lake Elsinore Station’s Traffic unit assumed the investigation. The driver’s name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
