Sexual Assault Suspect Apprehended

On December 9, 2023, at 1:00 a.m., deputies from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station responded to a local hospital regarding a female who had been sexually assaulted in the 41000 block of Indian Trail in Rancho Mirage. The victim provided a detailed description of the male suspect who committed the offense.

Multiple Suspects Arrested in Theft Suppression Operation

On Tuesday, December 20 , 2023, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s– Lake Elsinore Robbery-Burglary Suppression Team and Special Enforcement Team conducted an enforcement operation aimed at combating retail theft at a business located in the 29000 block of Central Avenue, in the city of Lake Elsinore.

Smuggling Drugs into a Jail Arrest

In October of 2023, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, Corrections Investigation Bureau, began an investigation into inmates coordinating with persons outside of the jail facilities to smuggle narcotics into the jail. Through the course of this investigation, several suspects were identified who were smuggling in fentanyl, heroin, and methamphetamine.
