On December 9, 2023, at 1:00 a.m., deputies from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station responded to a local hospital regarding a female who had been sexually assaulted in the 41000 block of Indian Trail in Rancho Mirage. The victim provided a detailed description of the male suspect who committed the offense.

On Tuesday, December 20 , 2023, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s– Lake Elsinore Robbery-Burglary Suppression Team and Special Enforcement Team conducted an enforcement operation aimed at combating retail theft at a business located in the 29000 block of Central Avenue, in the city of Lake Elsinore.

In October of 2023, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, Corrections Investigation Bureau, began an investigation into inmates coordinating with persons outside of the jail facilities to smuggle narcotics into the jail. Through the course of this investigation, several suspects were identified who were smuggling in fentanyl, heroin, and methamphetamine.

In 1969, the federal government announced that it would hand out millions of dollars in subsidies to companies willing to try something new: build houses in factories. Then as now, America was in the throes of a housing crisis.

Five local educators were the lucky recipients of the California Retired Teachers Association’s recent teacher grants. Teachers had two different opportunities to secure a $100 teacher grant – the state CalRTA office held its “no strings attached” grant drawing the end of October and awarded 35 $100 grants to teachers across the state.
