San Jacinto Valley students honored in October

The Hemet/San Jacinto Student of the Month program held its most recent recognition breakfast event at The Maze Stone restaurant at Soboba Springs Golf Course, October 28. Seven local high school seniors were honored for demonstrating character, integrity, love of learning, involvement in school activities, athletics and community service. Students were nominated by teachers or other school personnel for making a difference in their homes, schools and community.

VA celebrates caregivers across the country for commitment to America’s Veterans

On November 9, 2021, at 5:58 a.m., deputies from the Hemet Station responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 26400 block of Columbia St., in unincorporated Hemet. Upon arrival, they found a male in front of a residence, suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical aid was provided, and the victim was transported to a local hospital.

Search Warrant Commercial Burglary Series

On October 7, 2021, Moreno Valley Station deputies responded to a report of a past commercial burglary in the 13000 block of Perris Boulevard, city of Moreno Valley. The Moreno Valley Station Robbery Burglary Suppression Team (RBST) assumed the investigation and began following up on all leads. During the investigation, Jaime Diaz, a 30-year-old resident of Perris was identified as the suspect in multiple commercial burglaries in the city of Moreno Valley.

Assault with a Deadly Weapon

On Monday, November 8th, 2021 at 12:40 P.M., Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Perris Station, responded to the 17100 block of Hidalgo Dr. in the unincorporated area of Perris regarding a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. Deputies responded and located a victim with a moderate arm injury as a result of being struck with a machete.
