This February the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) launched Ethics Principles for Access to and Use of Veteran Data as part of ongoing efforts to protect Veteran data.

This case is now being investigated as a homicide. Investigators arrested David Williams Jr., 27 years old out of North Palm Springs. The victim’s remains have not been recovered as of yet and this investigation is continuing. Investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department Central Homicide Unit have continued investigating a homicide that occurred on January 26, 2020, in the unincorporated area of Home Gardens. The ongoing investigation revealed a second suspect involved in the murder of 25-year-old Antonio Anaya.

On Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 6:03 P.M., members of the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force Region 6 conducted a traffic stop on the I-215 south onramp and Redlands Avenue, in the city of Perris. Deputies contacted Cass Dixie, a 41-year-old resident of Hemet. Deputies discovered Dixie was operating his vehicle without a driver’s license. Deputies requested Dixie exit his vehicle and Dixie complied. A subsequent search of Dixie’s person revealed a loaded .38-caliber special revolver in his waistband. A search of Dixie’s vehicle revealed additional .38-caliber special ammunition and a small bindle of cocaine.

On February 20, 2021 at 9:00 am, deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station responded to the area of Hansen Ave. and Nuevo Rd. in the unincorporated county area of Nuevo regarding a stolen vehicle investigation. Upon arrival, several subjects attempted to flee from the responding deputies. A perimeter was established and a total of ten subjects were located hiding on a large property at the end of Hansen Ave. All ten of the subjects were safely detained without incident.
