Investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department Central Homicide Unit have continued investigating a homicide that occurred on January 26, 2020, in the unincorporated area of Home Gardens. The ongoing investigation revealed a second suspect involved in the murder of 25-year-old Antonio Anaya.
On Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 6:03 P.M., members of the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force Region 6 conducted a traffic stop on the I-215 south onramp and Redlands Avenue, in the city of Perris. Deputies contacted Cass Dixie, a 41-year-old resident of Hemet. Deputies discovered Dixie was operating his vehicle without a driver’s license. Deputies requested Dixie exit his vehicle and Dixie complied. A subsequent search of Dixie’s person revealed a loaded .38-caliber special revolver in his waistband. A search of Dixie’s vehicle revealed additional .38-caliber special ammunition and a small bindle of cocaine.
On February 20, 2021 at 9:00 am, deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station responded to the area of Hansen Ave. and Nuevo Rd. in the unincorporated county area of Nuevo regarding a stolen vehicle investigation. Upon arrival, several subjects attempted to flee from the responding deputies. A perimeter was established and a total of ten subjects were located hiding on a large property at the end of Hansen Ave. All ten of the subjects were safely detained without incident.
