When Bridget Lowe was asked to research curricula that could better serve the students at Soboba Tribal Preschool, she was happy to find one that coincided well with the new “Smart Boards” that had been installed in each of the classrooms.

The now-defunct Soboba Livestock Association has found a way to continue its original mission of education by donating funds to Noli Indian School’s 4H program. Formed on July 28, 1977 with about 30 members, the Association’s founding officers were President Marion Silvas Sr., Vice President Norbit Arres, Secretary Donna Silvas and Treasurer Marian Chacon.

Golfers can look forward to a fun day on the greens while local nonprofits will enjoy the green of money they can earn for their worthy causes as the Soboba Charity Golf Tournament prepares to tee off for the tenth year.

The Soboba Casino Resort has been able to recruit and retain successful employees since it first opened its doors in 2019 even amid the mandatory shutdowns during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. A recent shortage of workers at all types of businesses throughout the country led SCR management to make the decision to raise its minimum wage to $17 for its hourly employees.
