Free Bus Rides Available For Students In Riverside County

Date:

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — To close out 2025 on a generous note, Riverside Transit Agency buses will provide free rides to students through 2026.

The youth ride free promotion, which lasts through December 31, 2026, gives free rides to any youth age 18 and under as well as students at Cal Baptist University, La Sierra University, Moreno Valley College, Mt. San Jacinto College, Norco College, Riverside City College and UC Riverside.

The promotion offers free rides on RTA buses anytime they operate.

“Whether it’s a trip to entertainment destinations, across town to a friend’s house, there’s plenty of places to go,” according to a news release announcing the program.

Youth passengers can board any RTA bus at no cost simply by showing a valid RTA Youth ID, school ID, or other proof of age when they ride. The program covers all destinations served by RTA, including schools, parks, malls, libraries, and community centers throughout Riverside County.
