It has been a request for many months that we wear a mask and socially distance ourselves in order to prevent contracting Covid 19 and to prevent the spread of this virus to others. Every time when leaving the house, I think “got mask?”. Why do I care about adhering to this precaution? I think it comes from something that I heard long ago.
California Republicans on Wednesday seized on a bungled Democratic attempt to link the proposed recall of Gov. Gavin Newsom to the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, depicting it as a dangerous act of desperation by the Democrats and fresh evidence that the governor needs to go.
This time the fury enveloping the Capitol comes not from an insurgent mob but from within. The anger on display is searing — Democrat against Republican; Republican against Republican; legislators of both parties against the catastrophic security failure that left top leaders of the government vulnerable to last week's violence as well as to the coronavirus in their ranks.
As my last official action as President of the Democrats of Hemet-San Jacinto, I want to wish all of you a very prosperous, healthy and Happy New Year.
