Teachers and staff at the Soboba Tribal Preschool went all out to honor their students’ mothers, grandmothers and other female role models at a Mother’s Day Brunch on May 14.
The celebration of 100 days of instruction, marking the halfway point of the school year, has become a special event at Soboba Tribal Preschool and Feb. 5 was no exception. Surrounded by hundreds of everything, all lessons and even snacks were focused on this significant number.
Teachers at the Soboba Tribal Preschool began learning about the youngsters in their classrooms when the new school year began on Aug. 3. But they seized the opportunity to learn even more when family members were invited to a back-to-school night on Aug. 25. Visitors toured the campus, listened to presentations about what to expect on a daily and weekly basis, checked out a Chromebook for their child’s use and were treated to pizza and snacks.
With more than 40 vendors offering Earth Day crafts, resources and earth-saving tips, over 600 visitors to Soboba’s 17th annual Earth Day celebration on April 20 were given much to think about.
