More counties OK California’s centralized vaccine plan

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — California Gov. Gavin Newsom's plan to centralize vaccine delivery, tracking and appointment making is taking shape with two of the state's most populous counties signing up, despite widespread resistance from local public health agencies that want to retain control.

Armed Robbery and Assault with a Deadly Weapon

On January 27, 2021, La Quinta Special Enforcement Team deputies conducted a follow-up investigation that stemmed from an armed robbery which occurred at the 79000 block of Olympia Fields, in La Quinta on December 20, 2020. Deputies identified four suspects who were all armed with firearms at the time of the incident. The suspects assaulted the two victims who were struck in the head with the firearms and rendered unconscious. The victims were subsequently robbed of their belongings.
