Evacuations expand in Oregon as fire spreads erratically

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — More people living along the eastern edge of an Oregon wildfire were told to evacuate late Thursday as the inferno once more began spreading rapidly and erratically in hot afternoon winds and a nearby, smaller fire gained a foothold.

On Wednesday, July 14th, 2021, at 8:09 P.M., members of the Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force Region 6 Perris / Lake Elsinore conducted a vehicle check in the 300 block of F Street, in the city of Perris. Deputies contacted Christian Serrano, a 42-year-old resident of Perris. Serrano advised he was on probation for violating a restraining order. A subsequent search of Serrano’s vehicle revealed a firearm magazine containing (6) live 9mm cartridges, (10) live 16-gauge shotgun shells, numerous shaved keys, and (2) Balisong knives.
