On Thursday, December 30th, 2021, the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force conducted an investigation involving a documented criminal street gang member. The investigation began when Gang Task Force Officers conducted a vehicle stop at Estado Avenue and Cesar Chavez in Coachella.
On Thursday, December 30, 2021, about 9:57 P.M., deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a domestic violence dispute in the 17000 block of Ridge Canyon Drive in the unincorporated area of Perris, known as Woodcrest. Upon arrival, the male suspect was not located and deputies learned the suspect had a felony warrant for a violation of an assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence, kidnapping, vandalism, and a domestic violence restraining order violation. A search of the area was conducted and the suspect had fled the scene before deputies could locate him.
On Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 5:37 PM, deputies from the Cabazon Station responded to a residence in the 13000 block of Mesquite Road in the unincorporated area of Whitewater for a check the welfare call. The reporting party indicated they had not heard from the homeowner and was concerned for their well-being.
Because of redistricting, changes have been made to California’s congressional map, but Fontana will still be represented by two members in the House of Representatives.
