As the COVID-19 omicron variant surges across the United States, top federal health officials are looking to add a negative test along with its five-day isolation restrictions for asymptomatic Americans who catch the coronavirus, the White House’s top medical adviser said Sunday.

Wintry weather combined with the pandemic to frustrate air travelers whose return flights home from the holidays were canceled or delayed in the first days of the new year.

Pandemics do eventually end, even if omicron is complicating the question of when this one will. But it won’t be like flipping a light switch: The world will have to learn to coexist with a virus that’s not going away.

On Sunday, January 2nd, 2022, around 1:25 PM, Lake Elsinore Station deputies were dispatched to a home in the 34600 block of Orange Street, in the city of Wildomar, reference a suicidal subject. Dispatch advised the subject admitted to being in possession of a rifle, wanting to kill himself, and stated he was at the residence trying to make contact with the occupant.

On December 31, 2021, at 7:00 P.M., the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT) with the assistance of Thermal Station patrol deputies, served the search warrant at a residence located in the 52-400 block of Jennifer Way in the city of Coachella. The search warrant stemmed from a weapons investigation CCAT was conducting.
