The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office- Palm Desert was awarded a $102,341.00 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS). The grant will support our ongoing enforcement and education programs to help reduce the number of serious injuries and deaths on our roads.

On Wednesday, October 18, 2023, about 12:55 a.m., deputies from the Cabazon Sheriff’s Station located a stolen truck driving in the 14800 block of Broadway Street in the unincorporated community of Cabazon and a traffic enforcement stop was conducted.

Within hours of the horrific Oct. 7 attack by Hamas, the U.S. began moving warships and aircraft to the region to be ready to provide Israel with whatever it needed to respond. The remains of at least 189 decaying bodies were found and removed from a Colorado funeral home, up from about 115 reported when the bodies were discovered two weeks ago, officials said Tuesday.
