The Department of Veterans Affairs disbursed $20 million in American Rescue Plan funds, Dec. 21, 2021, to VA Medical Centers to provide critical and life-saving emergency assistance to Veterans experiencing homelessness or those enrolled in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development-Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing program during the coronavirus pandemic.

The No Surprises Act protects people covered under group and individual health plans from receiving surprise medical bills when they receive most emergency services, non-emergency services from out-of-network providers at in-network facilities, and services from out-of-network air ambulance service providers.

On Sunday, January 2nd, 2022, around 1:25 PM, Lake Elsinore Station deputies were dispatched to a home in the 34600 block of Orange Street, in the city of Wildomar, reference a suicidal subject. Dispatch advised the subject admitted to being in possession of a rifle, wanting to kill himself, and stated he was at the residence trying to make contact with the occupant.

On December 31, 2021, at 7:00 P.M., the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT) with the assistance of Thermal Station patrol deputies, served the search warrant at a residence located in the 52-400 block of Jennifer Way in the city of Coachella. The search warrant stemmed from a weapons investigation CCAT was conducting.

On Thursday, December 30th, 2021, the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force conducted an investigation involving a documented criminal street gang member. The investigation began when Gang Task Force Officers conducted a vehicle stop at Estado Avenue and Cesar Chavez in Coachella.
