The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the 2022 Star Ratings for Medicare Advantage (Medicare Part C) and Medicare Part D prescription drug plans to help people with Medicare compare plans ahead of Medicare Open Enrollment, which kicks off on October 15. Plans are rated on a one-to-five scale, with one star representing poor performance and five stars representing excellent performance.

On Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 4:35 PM, deputies from the Hemet Station responded to a call of an assault with a deadly weapon at a residence in the 61200 block of Indian Paint Brush Rd in Anza. Deputies arrived at the location and located a deceased adult male.

Deputies arrived within minutes and located a collision involving a motorcycle.

New research warns that the United States could experience a severe influenza outbreak after public health measures like face masks and social distancing are lifted. These measures have protected people from COVID-19 and influenza—incidence of influenza declined 60 percent during the first ten weeks following the implementation of the measures—but is also leading to greater numbers of Americans susceptible to the flu as immunity to the virus wanes.
