Governor issues Stay-at-Home order for Southern California region for at least three weeks

The governor announced regional stay-at-home restrictions for all Southern California, including Riverside County, for a minimum of three weeks. The stay-at-home order will go into effect on Sunday evening at 11:59 p.m. The regional restrictions are in response to weeks-long surge in cases, hospitalizations, positivity rates and coronavirus-related deaths throughout the state.

Illegal Marijuana Processing Operation

On December 5, 2020, deputies from the Perris Station Special Enforcement Team responded to the 31000 block of Terand Ave., in Homeland, to conduct follow-up investigation to an illegal marijuana processing operation search warrant from November 27, 2020. As deputies approached the property, they observed marijuana in plain sight.

Fatal Traffic Collision

On Monday, December 7, 2020, about 12:26 AM, deputies from Riverside County Sheriff’s Department - Perris Station responded to a major injury traffic collision near the intersection of Ramona Express Way and Bradley Road in the city of Perris. Deputies arrived within minutes and located a collision involving a gray Jaguar and a white Dodge Caliber.

Narcotic Sales Arrest

On December 5, 2020, at 12:45 A.M., deputies assigned to the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT) conducted a traffic stop at Avenue 52 across of Dos Palmas in the city of Coachella. Contacted was Manuel Jacquez, 30 of Coachella, who was found to be on parole. A parole compliance check of his vehicle was conducted.
