Six local educators were the lucky winners in recent teacher grant drawings by both the State CalRTA Teacher Grant program and local CalRTA Division 33.
Hemet High School graduate and Agriculture teacher Katie Fernandes and six of her students were guest presenters at the recent California Retired Teachers Association Division 33 luncheon on April 9th at the Seven Hills Members Club in Hemet.
Summer vacation may have started, but three local teachers are already thinking about next year’s students. Randomly selected from over 230 applicants at CalRTA’s recent June luncheon meeting, local educators Holly Fratt, Nancy Excell, and Baylee Gerges each received a $100 Teacher Grant from the California Retired Teachers Association (CalRTA) Division 33 to be spent on classroom needs.
Division 33 of the California Retired Teachers Association (CalRTA) will honor eight future educators and their families at their scholarship luncheon in June.
