Mt. San Jacinto College (MSJC) faculty, administrators and classified professionals built guitars Oct. 22-24 as part of "Guitar Heroes Operation Twang" at the college's Menifee Valley Campus.

At the GRID Alternatives Inland Empire 10-year anniversary celebration, community leaders and partners who are making a positive impact were recognized through the nonprofit’s annual Sunshine Awards. The Soboba Band of Luiseño Indians received one of six awards presented during the virtual event on Oct. 7.

Wade Abbas is a Graphics Specialist at Soboba Casino Resort’s Marketing Department, and he said he is exactly where he always wanted to be. Although graphic design was something he was always doing to some extent, it wasn’t until he was in college that he found out he could make money and get recognition for his artistic talent and in the process help businesses through advertising. That is when he chose graphic arts as a career path.
