Controlled burns scheduled In San Bernardino National Forest

Controlled burns are slated to begin before the end of the month throughout the San Bernardino National Forest, including near Mountain Center and Idyllwild, where federal fighters will be igniting piles of dead vegetation and burning off excess foliage from the ground and air.

Noli Indian School hosts first annual diabetes awareness walk

Initiated by school nurse Camille Diaz, Noli students and staff participated in its first annual walk to bring awareness to the disease of diabetes. Very prevalent in Indian Country, the disease often can be controlled through proper diet and exercise.
