The 55th annual Hemet-San Jacinto Exchange Club Book of Golden Deeds Christmas Dinner will be honoring veterans on Dec. 1 from 5:30-10:30 p.m. at Valley-Wide Sport Center, 901 W. Esplanade Ave. in San Jacinto.

Every year, millions of Americans who rely on public utility systems for drinking water are exposed to potentially dangerous levels of arsenic, uranium, lead, pesticides, bacteria, and other contaminants, according to publicly available data from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The Festival of Lights will once again kick off with fireworks and an exciting switch-on ceremony at the Mission Inn Hotel & Spa at 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 25 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the event and mark the beginning of the holiday season.

Soboba Tribal Preschool students arrived at the Soboba Sports Complex parking lot by bus to make their way through the row of displays full of friendly faces and lots of candy at a Trunk-or-Treat event on Halloween, Oct. 31.

In every city or town with 100,000 population or less, there is always one big event of the year that makes its citizens feel like they are somebody. In the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley, it takes place in November.
