One Person Dead in Fatal Traffic Collision
On Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at 8:41 p.m., deputies assigned to the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station responded to the intersection of North State Street and Sagecrest Drive, regarding a major injury traffic collision.

Investigators from the Central Homicide Unit have identified and arrested Joseph Samuel Runyon, 19-year-old male and Leslie Martinez, 36-year-old female, both residents of Desert Hot Springs as suspects in this investigation.

On June 22, 2022, at 7:00 A.M., members of the Coachella Community Action Team (CCAT), with the assistance of the Southern Coachella Valley Community Service District Team (SCVCSDT), the La Quinta Special Enforcement Team (SET), and the California Highway Patrol, served a search warrant at a residence located in the 86-200 block of Pinot Noir in the city of Coachella.
Juvenile Gang Member with Firearms Arrested During Search Warrant
On Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at 6:30 P.M. the Coachella Valley Violent Crime Gang Task Force with assistance from Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team, Palm Desert Business District Team, and Rancho Mirage Special Enforcement Team, served a weapons related search warrant at a residence located in the 83000 block of Beverly Court in Indio.
Civil jury finds Bill Cosby sexually abused teenager in 1975
Jurors at a civil trial found Tuesday that Bill Cosby sexually abused a 16-year-old girl at the Playboy Mansion in 1975. The Los Angeles County jury delivered the verdict in favor of Judy Huth, who is now 64, and awarded her $500,000. She said the fact that jurors believed her story meant more than the sum of money or the fact that she didn’t win punitive damages.
