SOBOBA TRIBAL PRESCHOOL CELEBRATES THANKSGIVING

Taking steps to be cognizant of the continuing pandemic concerns while allowing families to celebrate Thanksgiving as it should be led Soboba Tribal Preschool Director Donovan Post to host three days of luncheons at the Soboba Sports Complex Nov. 15-17.

Noli Indian School students have their day

Like many others, Noli Indian School students have been faced with unpredictable circumstances during the past couple of years. That is why Principal Donovan Post and staff didn’t want to see them entirely miss out on a homecoming celebration again this year. The Soboba Reservation school serves students in grades 6-12 but it was the high schoolers that finally got to have their special day after a couple of weeks of delays.

When Benny Helms Jr. enlisted in the U.S. Navy right out of high school in 1967, he was following in the footsteps of other family members who served in the military, two that made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

BODY, MIND AND SPIRIT WELLNESS FAIR AT SOBOBA

More than 20 vendors welcomed visitors to the Soboba Sports Complex on Oct. 25 for a Body, Mind and Spirit Wellness Fair sponsored by Let’s Get Moving Mondays and its founder, Kelli Hurtado. She began planning the event a while ago but for the past three weeks really focused on the logistics.

SOBOBA IS STARTING TO SPREAD HOLIDAY CHEER

The Soboba Foundation, in collaboration with Soboba Casino Resort, is getting ready for its annual Soboba Gives Back! Toy Drive event. Each year, toys are collected by volunteers who sort and count them for distribution to organizations that request help for community children in need.
