Fatal Traffic Collision

On Sunday, December 26, 2021, about 9:37 PM, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, San Jacinto Station, responded to the intersection of Ramona Expressway and Sanderson Avenue, regarding a report of a major-injury traffic collision.  Deputies and AMR arrived and located the two vehicle traffic collision.  The driver and single occupant of one of the involved vehicles succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by AMR.  The driver and single occupant of the other involved vehicle was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

The San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station Reconstruction Team responded to the location and assumed the investigation.  The intersection of Ramona Expressway and Sanderson Avenue was closed during the investigation. It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the traffic collision.

The deceased driver was identified as Kevin Tobin, a 55-year-old male from Moreno Valley.
