Fatal Traffic Collision

On February 6, 2022, around 6:55 P.M., deputies assigned to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Lake Elsinore Station, responded to a major injury traffic collision on Grand Ave. and McVicker Canyon Park Road, in Lake Elsinore. Deputies and Cal Fire arrived within minutes and located a motorcycle that collided with another vehicle. The motorcycle rider was ejected from his motorcycle and pronounced deceased at the scene by Cal Fire. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to the hospital for minor injuries.

Preliminary investigation indicates the motorcycle rider ran a red light and collided with the vehicle in the intersection. The motorcycle rider was Identified as 38 year old, Lake Elsinore resident, Ryan Rice.
