On Sunday, October 30, 2022, about 9:14 PM, deputies from the Jurupa Valley Station responded to the report of a major injury traffic collision in the 5900 Block of Limonite Avenue in the city of Jurupa Valley. Deputies and paramedics from Cal Fire arrived on-scene and located a collision involving a vehicle and motorcycle. The sole occupant in the vehicle was uninjured. Both driver and passenger of the motorcycle were transported to a local hospital. The driver of the motorcycle sustained moderate injuries and is listed in stable condition. The passenger of the motorcycle sustained major injuries and was pronounced deceased by medical staff at the hospital.

The Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team responded to the location and assumed the investigation. It remains unknown if alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the collision. Both directions of Limonite Avenue between Pacific Avenue and Riverview Drive were closed for the duration of the investigation. The identity of the deceased will not be released pending further investigation and the notification to the next of kin.
