Injured Paraglider Rescued

On Sunday, October 30, 2022, at 10:59 AM, deputies assigned to the San Jacinto Station responded to the Soboba Flight Park, located in the 200 block of Soboba Road, reference reports of an injured paraglider. The investigation revealed a paraglider collided with the side of the mountain, several hundred feet above the Soboba Flight Park, and sustained moderate injuries. The paraglider was hoisted off of the mountain by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Rescue-9 helicopter. Once hoisted from the mountain, the injured paraglider was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
